Really?!? Usually they are very strict about the release dates and their POS system won't even let the title be sold before the correct date.

See your from Toronto too so you now have to really wanting to rush to my local FS to check it out.
I've only seen movies released early by only 1 day but not this early.
Do you notice any difference(besides the blue bar) between this release and the first one?

Now there is no Blu-banner, there's more room for the artwork to breath. You can now see the entire Batpod.
I almost bought this today... but i started reading the back on my way to the checkout counter and saw it was a single disc only. It said something like "This is a 1 disc edition of the 2 disc blu-ray"... so i went and looked the regular version and sure enough, that has 2 discs this only has one. what a rip off.

I thought it might be too... but the reg doesn't have DC anymore. The 2nd disc is Special Features.
I love Steelbooks, but if the studios are going to bare bones them... i have a hard time supporting it.

Confirmed it's a single disc BR. The cardboard sleeve says "Includes Disc One of Two Disc BluRay Edition Only".
Luckily Walmart's gonna have Dark Knight and Batman Begins Blurays for $5.00 tomorrow for Black Friday.

i bought this one thinking it would be the same deal as the dvd steel, but the dvd version is shanie and this one not. so i ll keep both+ my german one is on its way

This is probably old news, but I opened one of my FS Dark Knight steels and compared it with the new Canadian version. The FS version is HI GLOSS and absolutely geogeous compared to the dull matte finish of the new release. If you are looking for a Canadian version, I'd pay the extra for the Future Shop version.
Thanks for the info. I noticed similar on few of the prior releases as well. Look very cheaply made and I feel bad for the original IAL as the new one just does not compare.
