I've emailed TS Video to ask about their packaging for steelbooks and will post any reply here, but I too would rather trust to a fellow Ninja to safely get hold of this one.

I think a GB should still go ahead (much preferred) but it maybe restricted to just one copy for each member. TS Online allowed me to buy more than one copy.

On a side note, I just typed in steelbook on HMV singapore's website and it shows amazing spiderman steelbook which is going to be released on tuesday next week. Any news on this?

Yes, this is releasing next week. But the pricing is more aggressive at S$70 with only poster as pre-order gift.

Also, it is same distributor as Men In Black 3 so there is high chance without customized slip. Even I haven't made the preorder yet.... waiting to see how it looks.

For those who don´t know how TS Online works. They use only bubble wrap to protect the steel and everything comes inside an envelope. At least they use a good quantity of bubble wrap.

I´ve bought The Avengers Viva Metal Box with slipcover, and I´ve received it in mint condition, so I have no complaints about TS Online.

I hope that helps ;)

PS: Sorry for my English, I am still learning the language :emb:

Thanks for the info.

But sending steels in an envelope would make me nervous, no matter how much bubble wrap.

Couldn't you put in a request and have them ship it to you in a box with plenty of bubble mailer? I've done this with yesasia.com & jsdvd.com and they've delivered just as I requested.

Yesasia.com and JSDVD.com are experienced retailer and know how to handle steelbooks. They deliver in a box with layers of bubble wraps without being asked :)

It will take a few trial and errors for TS Video to learn how to handle steelbooks.

Yesasia maybe experienced but their dispatch and shipping speed is absolutely poor. I am still awaiting dispatch for Prometheus TW and last package took a month to arrive from dispatch date.

Hopefully I don't miss out on the GB. I'll be at work for most part of the day. Knowing my luck it will be all reserved by the time I get back.

I took a chance and ordered from TS Online. They take payment right away for anyone wondering. I figured that its better packaging than amazon.jp for one steelbook, and cheaper as well.

Hmm, i better not think about HOW the Calender, Comic and Film Cell will look then EEK!
I would better TRUST on Alvin's PERFECT packaging in this case!!!
Also think with him sending and declaring value, there will be less "danger" for customs charges :scat:

I'm content with the Japan version. I'm not a fan of calender or anything that is not shrink wrap with the steelbook. Those separate add-on like a calendar doesn't fit nicely stack on my shelf :)

Besides, with shipping from this one...probably comes very close to Japan price :) However, if it comes with a picture slip, then I'm ALL IN :)

I'm so glad that I changed my mind to be a completist for this title...or else..it probably going to cost me $1000 just to get every version of the steelbook out there LOL...

Don´t worry about the Film Cell, I guess it will come inside the steelbook, what worries me is the Comic Book, because as far as I can see, it doesn´t fit, so it must be attached to the steel. :ohno:
