Yes both german release of Dark Knight and Begins seems to have english subtitles and speech. So i'm 99 % sure of that Rises will have English speech and sub's.

Sorry buddy, I was talking about the artwork. The preview image is too small to make out but it looks like an English Batman Begins and Dark Knight pictured. Dark Knight Rises will almost certainly just be the upcoming German steelbook thrown in.

Wow people go crazy for every asian release with a slipcover, even with kanji writing on it, but when theres a german release with atiny bit of german writing its a no-go ...

Perfect opportunity for me, as I don't have any of the other Batman movies in Steelbooks!
Pre-ordered and cancelled my HMW order.

That's because:

Kanji = pretty
German = eww!

:):D:scat:

Simple fact is that many people worldwide find some languages generally attractive (like French, Spanish or Japanese), while finding other languages generally repulsive (like German :hilarious:)

good comment mate!! I preordered anyway! Simply cause that is the best version of Batman Trilogy available worldwide. You just cant beat the price and content. Btw do you really dont like german words like: Mercedes, Audi or volkswagen:))?

I think that's a bit unkind to the German language. Personally I don't find German repulsive at all and I have no preference between German, Spanish or French writing.

I think maybe the reason we like asian and oriental titles is that their different alphabets make the title TOTALLY unreadable to western eyes and make it look more graphical. Titles look less 'wrong' because we can't see how the letters have been re-ordered. It also looks more calligraphic, which is visually appealing.

Just my take on it :)

Reminds me of the people who get tattoos with kanji writing thinking it means "strong warrior" or something and later find out it actually means something like "stinky dog ass".
As for german, most people are biased because in every movie you hear german they're playing a WW2 officer/SS guy shouting orders at other soldiers. In real life nobody talks like this ...

for anyone interested in buying this just to let you know in the fall of next yr warner bros will release the dark knight trilogy ultimate collectors edition dvd and blu ray boxset, this is to celebrate warner's 90th year, should be interesting to see what exactly this set includes.
