I'd like to put them in individual thin polybags so they don't rub together while in the case. Has anyone tried this out yet?

I tried bagging them and sticking them inside the box, it doesn't work properly. The flap doesn't wrap around the box fully (leaves 1/2 an inch gap).

It is a bit tight. I poly bagged the Steels and put them back in but a tight squeeze.

Yes, here too. Close, but it works .

Did you bubble wrap them ??? My polybags are 200 microns thick and they fit nicely inside and the flap closes like it should

same here. Poly bagged and no problem with putting them back. Well tbh it is not so secure closure like without baggs, but is good enough for me. For time being they all are on a display anyway. Today I received a big versions of the book "The art of making the dark knight trilogy" from amazon. It is georgous!!!! Highly recommended. 300 pages about THE BEST TRILOGY EVER MADE. Back to book . See you later

I'm prepared to wait....have the amazon.ca versions of BB and TDK, and the UK jumbo steelbook, and the recent TDKR HMV steelbook.
