I was wondering the same thing. I wanted to order this one, Heat and Goodfellas, but afraid I'll get a rerelease with no inside art. If anyone plans to order please report back.

You can see if the films you are looking for have been re-released or not and then compare the USA SKU's the the item you want to check if they are the same...

Also i went into my orders page on amazon.ca and clicked on the link of the Departed steel which i purchased which was the original print ,so if there is a re-print, you can be sure that this one is the original: Departed Steelbook

Problem is that there is a least one re-release which is not on that list and I suspect there may be more. V for Vendetta was confirmed as a re-release by a member here and it has no inside art.

To further compound the problem the old and new releases have the same UPC (at least V for Vendetta does), making it much harder to tell which is which.

Correct... us version does not have inside art. I got the Canadian version that does have it

Film or steel?

Film is great, won Scorsese an oscar in 2005.
The steel imo is great looking too, it has a cold mattte finish like Districyt 9, but it is a good old chunky steel made when steelbooks were actually sturdy and not the thinner metals used now

I bought a couple copies from Amazon.ca recently. I got one with inside art, and, presumably one without (haven't opened it). I think it is the same deal with V for Vendetta.... you can tell by comparing the spines. If the title on the spine is pushed clear up towards the top, then it is the first release and you have inside art. If the title is more towards the middle (just to the left) then no inside art for you.

just got this in the post, sadly no inside artwork but i only paid £3.25 for it so can't complain. Its pretty nice too, its not gloss but feels smoother than some of my mattes.
