Received my copy on Saturday (I paid £10.39 before it was reduced again) - one lovely looking Steelbook IMO. Full gloss definitely works very nicely with the artwork. A very good film too - was a blind buy for me, but well worth it.

Just so anybody who was in our place knows, zavvi sent me a cancellation e-mail for this. Let's hope that it comes back in stock eventually.

I haven't missed your point. Classics such as Ben Hur and the like should never be attempted!! Haha!
All studios need to make money. Remakes, sequels etc are cash cows for sure.
I too, have not seen this, just the trailer. But the trailers always look good, right? !!

Ben Hur was actually a remake of the 1907 film. The Ten Commandments 1956, Cleopatra 1963 all remakes of earlier films. So it's been going on longer than you think. Raiders of the Lost Ark is pretty much a remake of the 1954 film Secret of the Incas.... Planet of the Vampires was the inspiration for Alien...
