I don't really get the cover, it just looks lazy and doesn't even suit the film. I don't even bother to start talking about the price. Though I think that it was a ridiculous snoozefest rather than a good action flick and its creators should be ashamed, so I wouldn't pay even one cent for this. I guess I'm glad that everyone doesn't share my opinion, and the German version sure looks appealing. Each to their own I suppose.

There most likely will be a UK releases of the extended cut at some stage as the BBFC have already certified the uncut as 15 Cert

The UK Theatrical cut is 12A Cert

The German extended cut is 18 Cert
The German Theatrical cut is 16 Cert

Its strange that Lionsgate have not went with the UK Blu-ray as the extended cut as Sylvester Stallone said that he wants the Blu-ray releases to be the unrated version

Lionsgate UK must want to do 2 separate releases to make more money bit unfair in my opinion when Stallone said the Blu ray releases he wants to be the unrated version

You can put money on seeing the extended cut getting a release in the new year in the UK

USA Standard Blu ray release is both cuts of the Film

Then actually it really does suit the film :p.

The French steelbook will be glossy and have the director's cut too, and the art follows what they did with their Expendables I & II steelbooks (which I own and like very much), so if I purchase this film, it will be that steelbook when it will reduce in price (by July I bet it will be €14.99).

Considering the press release hasn't done the rounds yet for the UK release of Expendables 3 I highly doubt Zavvi will have confirmation whether the UK release will include the theatrical or unrated cuts of the movie. However, both cuts have been submitted to the BBFC for their subsequent home releases so in theory this should be the same release worldwide (i.e will include both cuts). I certainly wouldn't be jumping to conclusions yet going by what Zavvi have said over Twitter.

However, I have cancelled my order and I'm gonna go for the Saturn exclusive.

Thanks Cooey. I really like this Steelbook compared to the German one. If the UK doesn't get both cuts, I might just pick up the unrated disc when it drops in price and put it into this.....

After some mulling I've cancelled this one and gone for the German one instead. Even if they pack in the unrated extended cut and bonus features in full it'll still be more expensive and the design doesn't warrant the surprisingly high price. The french art is awful too so the German version was an easy win for me.

The cover art on Amazon proudly states that it includes the exended version not seen in cinemas. So the amaray bluray is getting the extended cut, despite Amazon listing the original running time. Wouldn't be the first time; I have bought a few releases that they've had the wrong run time for.

If it's a single disc, then it's unlikely they would manufacture a disc purely for the steelbook that had the theatrical cut only.

Cancelled mine and going for the german one instead, better price and better looking in my opinion, ill maybe pick this one up when the price drops

i'm more amazed with this price is still £21.99 for a 1 disc steel maybe zavvi are hoping to sell them for christmas pressies, but for what it is just to much damn money this should be £15 and at absolute tops £18 no more i suspect after the 8th dec when they got this set to go price on this one will tumble down into the bargain bin.
