Maybe director approved but there is a touch too much noise reduction on the Fox Pathe / Gaumont transfer.

Why not? They're industry wide releases. It's five months until the release date so I imagine Amazon will list them nearer the time.

If its matte finish pass for me because the artwork is not very good, it has to be glossy finish are embossed for me to budge.

I know Fox UK blu-rays discs tend to be region B locked, but I'm REALLY hoping this ends up being region free. I dig the artwork and would easily replace my amaray version for this one.

RE: the Pathe transfer... The DNR might not be as criminally bad as some (Lookin' at you, Predator UHE!) but it is noticeable, and I find that's enough to become a distraction.

Does anybody know how the UK transfer fairs in comparison to the German disc as i have the German Steelbook and just wondered if it is worth the upgrade to the UK Steel?
I quite like my German Steel and will only double dip if the UK transfer is better.

This is 20th Century Fox though and as far as I know they usually release matte steels. I don't think you are going to be able to get anythimg like that vibrancy with a matte finish.

I thought Amazon would best Zavvi and Sainsbury for sure. I was expecting 13.99 or lower.
