it's not a bad looking steel with the slip blending in with the main picture & could become quite collectable but i'm not sure if i'll invest in any Hobbit steel as i was quite disapionted with the film.

Ordered. Missed the KR one last night when I had the chance. If it wasn't for dumb luck I wouldn't have any with these releases. Probably make a bazillion of them, since I didn't go to ebay.

This is a really nice slip! Imo, the best example of this steel so far compared to any other releases.

I wish the artwork was better across the board though, this movie had so much potential for an absolutely smashing front art!

Well this is the one I've decided to go for out of the millions and millions of Hobbit releases. I like this artwork better than the Martin Freeman one, and with the combination of the English on the front and spine along with the slip makes it the winner for me.

I missed the Korean edition, but this one is still better than the french because of the english title and probably the finishing.
This will be my first Taiwanese steelbook ! :D

Bit surprising that JSDVD haven't restocked this yet. Normally they don't let a title go OOS if they have more stock to draw on. I wonder if it might be a bit more limited than first thought?

YesAsia's release dates can be quite pessimistic. They often ship in advance of the date they give. Often by days, sometimes even by weeks.

I went ahead and pre-ordered from YesAsia. Here's hoping for safe travels for my precious cargo.

Ok, I will state right now that I typed the above sentence with absolutely zero intent of making that horrible 'precious' pun. I am, however, no less ashamed. :emb:
