It's not that easy to ship outside of the US. You're forgetting soooo many things. The fact is that we're only thinking for ourselves. Shipping for 2 people is easy. That's doable.

But think of 1000's of orders
1) Customs
2) Import duty fees (you can't avoid it if the item purchased has a value over $50)
3) Lost packages
4) People refusing to pay customs fees for larger packages
5) Customer service issues with orders not cancelled on time or were cancelled after the order had shipped....
6) Margins on movies and games is pretty small

Bad business. Period.

too many probables that will just make it bad for business.

Amazon "ships" internationally because most of the item they're keeping the international stock locally. Also they have intentional presence in many countries all over the world.

My Titanic Limited Edition UK version was shipped from Ohio, USA. Go figure. Which means they shipped all the US orders from a local distribution center. And it's because they most likely had them stored in a US warehouse once they had determined the exact number of copies needed.

I understand all of that, trust me. I used to deal with a very big import/export network in my last job. But the main point you are missing is this; I want this item damnit! :p
