So, in other words, they eff up, and now I have to waste my time to get my money back (once charged) because they simply can't run an efficient business. Sorry to be off topic but their customer service is ABYSMAL.

I was charged for imitation game and horns last month and I didn't even know it had happened until they emailed me saying sorry we have taken money for these, it will be refunded back blah blah and I lost my sh*t at them. They ended up giving me £5 credit! Cheers! Forgot to mention that on here until I see your post.
Yeah so it looks like they might do this by "accident" sometimes. Wa*kers

Yeah it's usually 2/3/4/5 sometimes 6 months. I had some pre orders for June whilst in jan. Plus when I ordered imitation game back in November / December (can't remember the exact month) that was for June. Even though that's out in March

Also sometimes with catalogue titles they can be pushed back or forward depending on what goes on behind the scenes. Allot of the disney collection last year was swapped around and pushed back and then the final 5 at the end of last year were all pretty much randomly released within 3 days and also zavvi won't update you on any of the date changes which annoys the hell out of everyone. only the kind ninjas on here update us. Been a few times I've randomly looked through the zavvi site and noticed date changes and updated the peeps on here and allot of other members do if they notice it too.

So, basically, keep checking back here for updates on Zavvi releases I don't suppose the date/time when these usually go live are known ahead of time? I saw the Avengers 3D steel had a Saturday 6pm time on it, but I don't know if it's typical that we know ahead of time like that.

Yeah or you can watch the thread and set up email alerts but obvioulsy if people are having convos about the film then it might get on your nerves with constant emails.
Well zavvi usually announce on Twitter or Facebook the time of release but that's usually on the day or a maybe a day or 2 before. @digitalbabe sometimes gets updates from her source and also some others on here but most people get their information from steelbook collectors Twitter (they must work for zavvi or have a close friend in the steelbook dept) and also their are other steelbook forums (that are no where as good as here) that sometimes get the info before us but I believe it's because they have seen it on other sources.
but when a live date and time is announced some way or another it will always be put on here by a friendly ninja.

Thanks! I'll definitely follow the Twitter. I used to watch the threads but yes, to your point -- there can be a lot of chatter leading up, and then it gets cumbersome with the email alerts!

I can't help but notice that my message helping out Bailey has been edited my a mod.
How comes my post has changed to other sources instead of what I had originally? (that was my opinion and theory -not sure why that was changed) and also the Twitter account I posted has been taken off. Not sure why as that Is extremely valuable info to anyone on here who wants release dates and times. I originally got that from this site in the first place.

Obviously must be a valid reason but if you can let me know cos I'm missing something here.
