so if you buy jungle book and toy story together, then jungle book gets shipped by itself, can you cancel toy story without an extra charges ?

You can't cancel via your online account, but let's be fair if you contact Zavvi in a month or 2 asking them to cancel Toy Story, the adviser will probably just cancel it for you without a problem.

Hi guys, just a friendly reminder that the thread is to discuss the Steelbook release itself. If you have issues with returns and customer service please continue to post your comments in the retailer thread and contact the retailer directly. This counts for every retailer, not just Zavvi-we cannot fix issues with specific orders (I get PM's about all kinds of system questions and status for different retailers, but we can't assist with those details). We do pass on your collective feedback from the retailer threads, when possible. Thanks.

Solution for Zavvi
1) Keep exclusive Limited releases to max 4000-5000 on big releases
2) Keep exclusive Limited releases to max 2000-3000 on lesser releases

It is a pretty well known fact that 4000 is the minimum steelbook run as set by the manufacturer (and TM holder) of the steelbook itself. Zavvi or any other retailer cannot control this.

I'm not annoyed, i bought this mid august, most films drop in price plus this is only part of a deal when bought with something else. Something dropped 13 pound after 2 months, not overly fussed. I do feel for those who bought it recently or multiple copies though.

Mate,

It's the same story with other retailers as well. So many items drop drastically in price.

Yeah but with this i felt i had to pay full price or i would miss out. To sell it for such a high price and then slash it to less than half is a joke.

Why dont zavvi sell them cheaper to begin with if they can afford to sell them off so cheap now.

I just sent Zavvi a message, I would say I can't wait to see what they say but I'll probably just get an automated message about pricing :hilarious:

Here is the response (surprisingly quick which is nice):
Hello ...,

Thank you for getting in touch about your query.
Unfortunately our prices are subject to change, we are unable to pay you the difference.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Kerry

Well it was worth a try :hilarious:

I have learned my lesson in any case. Time to trim my pre-order list even further I think

£9.99 !!!!???!!!

This is laughable man... As I've said before, last time I pre-order ANYTHING from Zavvi. I'm glad I cancelled all my up-coming pre-orders. Most of the steels turn out disappointing or just straight ugly, and the great steels, or at least decent steels go down in price after a while. Like, WAY down in price.

F to the U to the C to the K ZAAAAAVI!!

Do any of you buy an LED TV for example for £800.00, then when it goes to £450.00, do you complain about that also?

Things reduce in price. You just happened to buy it when it first came out. If a company have too much stock of something, they aren't going to just keep it at the high price to keep initial buyers happy. They will do what they can to get rid of them.

They can but they have to offset the cost (hence Roger Rabbit). However, a 4k run on steels isn't a bad idea for exclusives. For big blockbusters though you're bound by the studio. They dictate print run and sell to the company who are willing to distribute these huge print runs as exclusives (Iron Man 3).

HMV used to be the go to place for high print runs; TDKR, Thor Captain America, Avengers etc. Now HMV are no longer the 'power' they used to be you see large print runs shared out e.g. Pacific Rim and Man of Steel for example.
