after everyone complaining about this, i had to go back and check mine, thankfully they are mint not sure behind the j-card though as i don't open mine

My replacement arrived today. All seems to be ok, but there is a difference in the quality of the foam padding inside.... it is a lot more inferior than the last wrapping it had. Hope this is not a sign of things to come. I think it has something to do with the thickness of the box and postal charges here in the UK. At last though, got a new steelbook which has no dents or paint scratches down the front.

Aforementioned it could be due to differences in postal charges between Large Letter and Small Parcels (1.10 Vs. 2.70).

Not sure what to do, because the last time I tried to get a refund/replacement, they claimed they never received my item, so I lost out on the price of the item, and my shipping costs.

If you paid with your credit card company take the matter with them ?!? I think sometimes you might have more luck like that ...

Haha, John-good one! Hopefully everyone who does have a slash gets replacements very soon

15 of mine have slashes - I don't think they will be doing any replacing, or if they do what is the chance that you get one where the spine is not slashed?

For a steelbook that costed close to 30 Euros before import taxes it is very very disappointing...!!

I bit the bullet and ordered this after I started seeing pics, however mine turned up slashed as well so ive started the returns process and ordered another 4 using the HDN discount. Hopefully 1 of those will be mint (unlikely) and I can just return the rest.

Just received my copy. It was my first order from Zavvi. It came in a solid cardboard box with foam padding. Its in perfect condition. I have two other test items coming, then I'll decide if I'll order again.
