Hey it looks like some of you guys order Digibooks from overseas. Why do you do that? Can you actually read the pages in the books and are the bluray movies produced with English subtitles?

Cheers

To elaborate and imo I track down the films I really like in the most beautful edition they are in and I dont mind if extras such as booklets etc are in a foreign language. If it is german I can read it, but it doesnt matter. If the release is asian I guess a bunch of people are having problems with written text. On the other hand...look at the Blufans release of Iron Man the 1/3-1/4 slip. This one is even more beautiful (imo) because of the chinese letters, same with 1/4 slip of Gladiator from HD Zeta.

For instance I love Switcblade Romance / High tension and think the german mediabook (art A) is a piece of art. Now I will buy this one even though I know that the french audio has no english subs. I will just buy a cheap amaray and replace the disc. Nerdalert? :)

I guess it all comes down to personal preferences! :)

Yep me too, I speak german & spanish,so I have no problems with. But it depends what kind of collector you are
If I like something no matter what, I order it. Mediabooks (Digibooks) Steelbooks & Digipacks etc. Important to me is the artwork, the HD transfer and of course the Unrated version if it´s a horror movie.

Is this the High Tension Mediabook you were referring to? Also these German Mediabooks only appear to have about 12 pages each, whereas a Digibook issued from US or UK normally has 24 to around 40 pages

Yes, that is exactly the one I want. It is also correct that these editions cost a bit more often around EUR 30-40, but then again regarding High Tension it hasnt been released in the UK as a digibook. If it were I would give it some thought.

I usually hunt on ebay.de and amazon.de for cheaper prices, sometimes used mediabooks. If you have a friend in Germany he/she can also receive and then send to you for a combined postage.
