Yes the best way to confirm is to play to disc and find out. I am almost 80% sure the katakana reads out as Dolby Digital and not Dolby True HD as the ones with True HD actually says Dolby True HD 5.1 :hilarious:

Having just received my Jp copy I can confirm that the print quality on the artwork is WAY better than the cheap UK version. Everything 'pops' on the Japan version, and it has much better contrast and definition. I only hope now that we get Japanese releases of the other "Premium" releases so I can ditch all of the UK ones.

Thanks for the pic, i'm unsure on which to choose from out of the KR or JP versions... That JP one looks soo much nicer than the UK version though

I got the Jp Troy as well, and again it's miles better than the UK version (much more visual 'pop' to the cover art.

Also had the Korean version of Troy, which is the same as the UK one. Japan is the only way to go with these, I think. ;)

Well thanks a lot, guess there is no competition then :)
Thanks VRob

Nice! Thanks for the pics! Now I'm certain I'll go with the Japanese version. Will purchase this along with the 300 steelbook from HMV Japan.

Whats the prices on HMV Japan?
I no that it is £21 on yesasia with free shipping (to the UK at least) and no import charges, but they don't have 300 anymore...

The total I got from HMV Japan is around £38. That is including both the 300 and The Last Samurai steelbooks gift wrapped as well as shipping to Australia. I'm not sure about import charges for UK customers though.

If you wanna buy from yesasia, make sure you read their return policy. For their steelbooks, it is stated on the product page that it cannot be cancelled or returned once the order has been placed. But I have never bought steels from them so I could be wrong. And from my experience, they don't pack their shipment particularly well.

Thanks, looks like ot will be HMV then

I got the Hobbit TW from yesasia and it was very well packed but haf paint chips, and i messaged them and they sent a "one off" replacement copy out free pf charge, and i got to keep the old one, i not have 2 Hobbits TW on my shelf :p

Also, i shouldn't get hit with any import charges unless its over £20, and as i will just be getting the one film i should be OK, so thanks for the heads up troubo :)

Okay, I ordered this from Yesasia and in the order confirmation email they send me, it says the expected ship out date would be 3. September. Seriously?? Why does it take so long to ship it?? Don't they have a warehouse for the items they sell or what is going on?

Sorry for the necro bump..

I bought one from Chip (it arrived in perfect shape :p) but I notice that there is a discoloration in his armor under the T basically. You can see it Monkey King's picture too. It looks like it was manufactured that way. Anyone else that have this version notice the same thing? I can post pic if needed
