I'm fine with the release date pushed back. But the price needs to drop a bit since it doesn't include the 3D and it's only 1 disc.

The Product Details section of Zavvi is not always correct. So let's just hope that they'll at least put the 3d disc to the package. Otherwise, £22.99 is really too pricey...

I'm happy with just the film tbh, and hope for a premium steelbook finish. It's the consumer who decides what to buy to satisfy their needs. Like most businesses I imagine its not straight what the retailer or moreso the distributer can release, as there would be a multitude of licenses and rights involved, dependant on content and country.
Or maybe that's all crap and they're being tight? You choose ;-)

Of course. I think everyone who pre-ordered could live with that (me too).
But why not premium steelbook finish AND 3d disc? ;)

I don't know if anyone has spotted this yet, but under 'Product Details' the number of discs has been listed as 1. So no 3D copy or extra bonus features sadly.

It doesn't sound like there is a bonus features disc. There is just a 2D disc with bonus features on it, so at least there is no missing bonus disc from this package.

As for DVD, I couldn't care less. The only thing those DVDs are good for in my world is if it has nice artwork. :hilarious:

As for 3D, I don't personally have a 3D setup, but I have to agree that for the 22.99 price, 3D should definitely be in there. It's not fair to all the blu ray collectors that "went 3D" to force them to either buy 2 versions (both very expensive) or to go hunting for a 3D disc on Ebay if they want to add the 3D disc to their collector's steelbook. It's gotta be annoying to have to choose between either 3D or steelbook.

Honestly I could care less about the 3D right now. I just want to know if I'm going to need to cancel my order that is using the code and then reorder before they are sold out. Anyone reputable want to weigh in? Cough *Wreck* cough

Correct but the classic disney titles eventually end up in BOGO deals within few months.

I think the pricing on this and Jungle book is way too high unless the Steelbook is going to feature any bonus disc pr other goodies.

I do agree about the price, £22.99 is too high for a single disc release. These better come with premium finishes. Should have been no more than 19.99 max imo, and even then some would say it's £2-3 too steep.

I wouldn't worry. Seems many people have used the code so if that were to happen, hundreds would be cancelled, so they will have to be put back up at some point and all would just order again.

I think I'm going to order one copy without the code and cancel my existing ones, I'll be too pissed off if my order is cancelled after they sell out.

EDIT: The release date is now saying 30th of September. What is going on?!

There's no reason to omit the bonus features from the steelbook edition. Would have preferred 3D as well, but bonus features is an absolute must for me. Especially for an animated film. Disney have made some pretty interesting documentaries etc over the years.

The only problem is that Disney loves the vault more than anything else.

I personally love the vault, too. I'm glad we are not overloaded with releases all the time. Disney films are something to be appreciated, to be cherished and loved. At this rate, we get to wait for the pre-orders, freak out when they ship, hug them when they finally arrive at our homes, and hang on to them forever.

The vault really does exactly what Disney wants it to do. IMO, it's awesome.

What bonus features? Am I missing something? I don't think a separate "bonus features" disc exists for The Little Mermaid. It appears to be included into the 2D disc menu. (and I'm guessing the 3D disc menu as well, not sure).
