It's a shame about the BBFC logos but the slip looks like it's escaped whatever is causing the square pattern on the US version.

I have the same cross-walk patterns on my pet slip too, I think they are identical and part of the design.

Cheers, they seemed too well aligned to be an error and there was nothing on the plastic seal or the steelbook itself, but good to have confirmation!

Personally, I'd say it's a manufacturing flaw, despite the neatness and alignment. My copy has it also, plus, the addition of the dent makes mine a bit of a sh#tshow, to be honest so going back...

Yeah it is a manufacturing flaw. Unfortunately got those tracks on quite a few of them. Got a few that are very light on this one

I have the exact same pattern on my Poltergeist film vault steel slip!

These patterns are a result from being manipulated on the conveyor belt surface of the sealing machine. See example of some of those below. During heat application to 'shrink' the foil, this heat leaves a mark on the paint used on the PET slip. A mark just like the one on that surface;

Ignore the small white lines, that's just the shrinkwrap, it's the large white lines that have that box pattern. Going with the earlier post I'm guessing it's one of the diamond patterns and it makes sense, the shrinkwrap often has something similar. The unboxing video for the US version shows it quite clearly.

Think Lionsgate will listen to complaints over this? I'm usually not too fussy about condition but I'm seeing this more and more from Lionsgate and they could at least try to mitigate it by flipping the steel so if we're stuck with these patterns they can be on the back where it'd matter less.

This is very hard to capture on photo, but does anyone else's copy have a straight vertical bend/crease on the front of the slip? Definitely not something that could occur with Amazon's ultra thin envelopes. Looks like it was folded in the wrong place during manufacturing.
Might have to do a quick replacement while Amazon still have stock.
