Hey Kaw-yeah definitely do-even if you slide them out a few times, they may get scratched. Great hybrid! :scat:

If I spoke French (or was from France) and didnt mind blue banner ... then French, if I speak English ... then USA. The Germans are ugly, and that is what I have lol.

In either case, these LOTR steels are very prone to scratches you gotta inspect these USA ones VERY VERY VERY carefully. Saw plenty in store with verrrrry small missing paint marks.
 
Want these but think its a disgrace they ain't put the extended in there. Also the finish on these in the pics looks cheap.

i really rather the french one overall, but i hate banner, so i don't have any good option here
either i keep the fench that i love the more but that has banner that i hate or i keep the us which has no banner but that i don't like (saturation, contrasts, finish etc)

I got mine early on when the stores first put these out. A agree with them being somewhat prone to scratches. The Two Towers steels all had scratches except the one I found.

whoa that french one is so much more vibrant and just pops. Nice comparison.
 
French one is much more vibrant, and the quality looks far more superior.

Go with which ever one you like and then pray an English version comes out with the extended versions of the film, with awesome quality artwork :scat:
 
Are these the same artwork as the regular Blu rays? If not it sure looks very similar. No extended edition and no unique artwork= no buy for me.
