Karl’s previously worked on alternative movie posters for The Lord of the Films trilogy, but as with his Star Wars work, he was excited to dig deeper into the lore and create a brand new showcase diving into Middle Earth. Karl’s six print showcase focuses paramount moments and characters that really represent the artist’s love for The Lord of the Rings stories.

It’s been a hot week here in Brooklyn, so we’re capping off the week with even hotter prints, including a showcase of The Lord of the Rings prints from Karl Fitzgerald and a new AXON Gallery release from Bruce Horan!


Karl’s six prints are inspired by both Tolkien’s written works and The Lord of the Rings cinematic trilogy. Karl’s trademark moody and atmospheric art intertwines terrifically with Tolkien’s fantasy world, and Karl has a keen eye for reinterpreting scenes that make for both interesting prints and also good pieces of storytelling.


We’ve worked with Bruce before on some fun releases, so we’re proud to bring Bruce into the AXON fold with a brand new print release! Bruce’s newest print, Traverse, combines a variety of cool medium contrasts, including collages, pattern work, and painting. Bruce has done an incredible job blending different styles and we love the way these prints look on paper.
