The Film Arena Collection release is way better than the Kimchidvd release by a huge margin in my opinion

Not including shipping costs
Film Arena €37 (after paypal currency conversion fee)
Kimchidvd €37 (after paypal currency conversion fee)

Kimchidvd

Steelbook Content Film Arena release is lot better value as you get lot more for your money
Film Arena Full Slip have been getting very good recently and some have surpassed Kimchidvd in terms of detail

KimchiDvd extra content recently is very poor compared the previous numbered exclusives as these had booklets and other items
Most of the recent Kimchi releases have just artcards and numbered card

Film Arena have done the opposite they give more items with each release

Considering the price and content included Film Arena is better overall

Nice cross analysis there Paul! I'm not a big collector of Kimchi's releases, all I have is The Raid boxset and Insideout :dunno: Did they used to include more items with their releases?

Yes they did it was usually booklet and other items similar to what film arena provide
The Kimchi Collection exclusives like X-men and DOPA did not include a booklet and other items but they have recently also started to not include booklets with the Kimchi Exclusive range of releases and some of these are not fox releases

I could understand when it was the Collection range but them giving less content with the Kimchi exclusive range is not good in my opinion in terms of value

NO WAY is FA slip is anyway NEAR A KIMCHI slip Dude's .

Not saying it can not be done juet not yet . The spot gloss is just sublime on the Kimchi.

Un numberd FA to Kimchi no diffrence in items . IF I had have gone for any it would have been the Kimchi full then the FA un numberd .

The best thing is that each retailer is pushing the other to make beautiful sets.

Roll on Everest .

Know Mars V's Mountain witch ones facenates me the most and you dont need a rocket to get thire boys  .

That's ashame that they stopped doing booklets, must be a business decision. We will see how they fair in the future.

Kimchi release both Full Slip and Lenti only include 6 artcards and a numbered card and nothing else

Comparison really only applies for numbered versions as both are numbered limited editions but even then the film arena un numbered version that also has more items included than the kimchi numbered release

The recent numbered Film Arena Collections the contents have got better with each release and very good value considering the price
The lenti magnet has been very good with some of recent releases

It's not just about which lenti slip been better than another version it's about the overall package as to what is included and in that regard in my opinion Film Arena wins with ease in terms of value

That all sounds logical, and in my opinion I agree about FA. My favorite at the moment and I wish they could do all the releases I want LOL, then I could stop buying from others, except maybe Blufans and Manta depending on how they turn out (I am hopeful for them)

I also wish all of my steelbook collection had the items included that you get with film arena collection releases but I would need bigger house to store them all
To put it in terms of what makes me consider a release
When I see Film Arena announce they are doing a film arena collection release of a steelbook I'm interested in it's the Film Arena release I want to get over another release especially when it's a film I want as a steelbook

I often had the barebones steelbook release already from other retailers and just because film arena have done a film arena collection release I have double dipped or triple dipped

You only have to look at a lot steelbook threads when a steelbook release is announced members posting they hope film arena do a FAC release of that steelbook
The reason why film arena are doing very good with sales is the attention to detail and value they give with a each release and that's good for steelbooks in my opinion especially as the price is not much more than if you just purchased a barebones steelbook of the same film

I can see where the problem is

For me its a no brainer, each packages from FAC are like little presents, they bring such attention to details. I really like what is explained in previous posts, but I have been in Love with FAC since the beginning and they have gotten better and better as time went by... Now they are just killing it IMO.

...and if your location is true (Japan, Asia) that is even bigger praise. IMO.

Kinchidvd have already despatched my lenti steelbook for The Martian though...and Film Arena are certainly killing it with delays.
