I would nominate Prometheus (with booklet) for the Hong Kong list.

And I think the Alien Antho is much harder to find and more expensive than Prometheus, Spidey or Jaws. With its 'continued art' slip it's by far the nicest version of that release.

Also on the Korean list, Snow White and the Huntsman is much rarer and more expensive than Spidey IMO.

Just my 2c :)

Thanks for the list. I will consider them. Regardless of how 'rare' the item is, it's only worth its value if people will pay for that 'value' that is consistent.

I have seen high prices in a lot of asian steels with all kinds of slips - but it needs to do the most important thing - it needs to sell!

AVATAR (HK) is prob 1 of the best kept secrets out there  MEGA RARE !!!!

very Nice Mr T.C :)

What are you predicted values on them?

Does the HK version come with a booklet? Or is it just the data sheet that is different?

Does District 9 (UK) still deserve to be on here considering the relatively low price it's been selling for?

I am monitoring that one at the moment already. Steels cannot be moved down because of 1 low selling auction. And the same applies if it sells for high. There needs to consistency shown before I start moving steels around.

T4 Virgin FR sold for a $1000 and paid by a rich collector. Doesn't mean it qualifies to be on the top 10 most expensive steels, yet.... :)

Well looking at completed sales an open version tends to be £12-£15, and sealed around £30.

I'd say it's certainly less valuable than Iron Man, Drive and Captain America.

This thread is for SEALED steelbooks only. Provide all the links of auctions please for sealed ones. If you feel a steel needs to be moved, provide some information which will assist, thanks.

The following two are brand new and sealed completed listings:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/District-...t=UK_CDsDVDs_DVDs_DVDs_GL&hash=item5650a7a18d

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/District-...t=UK_CDsDVDs_DVDs_DVDs_GL&hash=item3a7cffe629

Both went via auction not BIN so a better reflection of their value possible?

Thanks for the info, I am aware of both of those auctions already.

One is defected, the other one no feedback left yet to confirm sale. Will wait for more information. District 9 sealed HMV is one of the rarest UK steels so I like to see some further information to rank the steel accordingly.

:ohno: ~ I am at a bit of a loss with Avatar Extended -HK , because of its rarity , I am yet to see another 1 , so I can not give a fair Valuation , because its HTF/HTG does not mean its Valuble ? does it ??
I have however , been offered quite a substantial amount of $$$ on several Occations. It has the 3 Disc's , No Booklet , just info sheet.
as we all know that HK does not release Normally with Slips , but this being a 1 off & allso being a Highly sought after Movie Title aswell , Allso this was the only Asian release of Avatar Extended steel book tjhat was released with Region "B" Disc's .. this will indeed I estimate be some where around the $300 mark at least !!

as for TDK-NL EEK! now your on the reall Money Ball :scat: Due to its Mega small Print run, this will fetch at auction easily $300 - $500 If you can find a sealed 1 :naughty:

Open = worthless !!

any Batman paraphernalia will be , and is Most Highly sought after !! this TDK-NL being probably the most sought after steel book after TDK-fnac, which I allso have , and dont need to talk about as you have it covered allready :)

take from what I have said at face value mate , No malice intended , just really what I think these items are worth ?

Mr Dazzer :)

Thank you for your analysis as always! I have no idea about of any of these steels you mentioned.

In regards to the HK Avatar, as it has no slip, booklet or added extra apart from the HK sticker, I find it difficult to follow why this would be so highly sought? With asian steels it's normally something exclusive to add on to the steel that makes it rare and sought.

TDK NL, I am surprised this will command a very high price, considering it looks very similar to the FS one and doesnt come with a special booklet or something? You see I don't know anything about TDK NL and I was thinking of the stickerbook lol.

Eitherway, the steels you requested are on the thread.

Updated, a few changes on Asian steels - these are the ones that are mostly changing continuously as they are unpredictable.

I've decided to move Thor JP to third place. Although not a 'grail' steel yet IMO to be placed in the 'Top Ten SB', I can see the potential for this to rise as I know there will be pefectionists that would only want the 'best of the best' for the avengers collection. So the notable elite ones will be a sealed: IM FS, CA TW, Thor JP.

- I have moved Drive UK above IM Play.com as 'bids' for IM have dropped down a little. CA HMV is challenging to be on par with Thor HMV, but Thor is still just above.

I have removed Predators Play.com from 10th position and replaced with Taken Play.com - it has been sold for £40 - £45 on Playtrade as they have all disappeared. Demand on this has increased with anticipation of Taken 2. Predators demand has dropped.

The Main three - SB/IP/SB+IP will remain the same and unlikely to change yet...

Taken took ages to sell out. Iron man 2 above this all day long. I picked up a sealed drive not to long ago that was miles cheaper than any iron man ive seen.

Mate, Avatar HK is just rare, period. And it does come with a booklet.

CA HK should be included, probably just below Transformers lenticular.

Avatar HK is rare - but is anyone willing to pay top dollars for this?

I have to point out this - it does not matter if the steel is 'rare'. There has to be a customer. From your experience, would Avatar HK command a high price to be in the top league for the HK steels?

I've added CA HK
