Thor Korea does not make it to the top 10 korean steelbook list?

Not yet as I have not considered this or have done any research. Asian steels are the most difficult to rank. Primary reasons is they are identicle steel released worldwide with a difference of a data card, data sheet, sticker, and slip cover.

I appreciate many of the steels are 'rare' in certain countries but ranking them is a challenge.

In order to consider each steel that is a worldwide release, I have to know what are the approximate going rates, what is exclusive about that release - is a slip? a booklet? What extra's? Essentially we can be placing every asian release on the thread due to its low numbers on release.

They are a 'hit and miss'. There are members who are NOT willing to pay a premium for an identicle steel where there are members who WILL pay a premium for an identicle steel with the added data sheet/slip cover.

So FM - what other information can you provide and sugguest? :) I have no idea about this release.

Yes, you are right. It is so rare that I have never seen it on eBay or HDN.... I do know of a person who bought it recently but it is best that I let that person tell you. The steel is similar to Thor Japan in that it only has a slip. No stickers other than the rating sticker. One can say the same about Thor FNAC? Or does that have a booklet?

Yup, it is tough. But given that Thor Korea is Avengers related and the Avengers branding will probably keep growing, I would rate Thor Korea ahead of quite a few of the present top 10 korean steels. That is just my 2 cents worth.

Hi Sunny,

Thor Korea is not in the Korean top 10 list. There is not much known about the value of this steel. I know of some facts that you may wish to consider :

1. When Aprilarrow knew that I had found another Thor Korea, he offered to trade his spare Avatar Korea for my Thor Korea. I have agreed. That may suggest that Thor Korea is about the same value as Avatar Korea. Avatar Korea is listed as the number 1 on the Korean list.

2. Some guy is trying to sell Thor Korea at a BIN price of US$650. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Thor-Korean...?pt=US_DVD_HD_DVD_Blu_ray&hash=item1c2f92b043. I know that the item is not sold but it does indicate what the seller thinks that someone may pay for it.

I think that, conservatively, Thor Korea should be number 4 or 5.

I know someone who bought Thor KR off another guy for $300, honest truth ;)

So FM, you are right, it should be in the top 5. Heck, make it top 3. RE Trilogy never sold for more than $250...

I recently picked up my spare Avatar KR for way less than $300, hence I can offer that to you, mate. :scat:

I've added Thor Korea to the top of the Korea list - thanks for promoting your steel FM :)

AA - the issue we have about how much you source steels for is quite simple. If you have the contacts of course your not going to pay high premium.

But if collectors do not have the contacts they will have to buy the premium prices. There is difference between knowing your contacts and selling them for a premium price.

I've added Thor Korea for now.

Mr T.C. - I've added Australia Country to the list! I've added two on the list of steels I only know. Perhaps you can add some to the list as you live in Aussy land :)

will have a think mate :), but really its them stupid ugly steel cases that fetch the Big Bucks :( Hate them !!

SP, GZ, TH, , yeh !! , there is a few m, I will add some & you can dissect it :)

thansk for putting AUS on your List :)

LOL! It is not really "my steel". I just happened to be lucky (or unlucky, as the case may be, depending on a person's view on paying good money for J cards) enough to stumble across two of these. :D

Hellboy 2 DE in place of Underworld Trilogy DE ;) Sadly making an EXACT reprint of Underworld Tril made it much less valuable.

Crying shame that was especially as it happened about 3 weeks after I bought my copy of 1st print :ugh:

TRON 3D (au) is a ViVa Metal Case bud  ~ $ 49.oo on release , so I would say it up in the $80 - $100 mark now ??

Underworld Trilogy (de) with Full Slip Case , was / is still 1 of my Favourite steelz of all time  ~ maybe because I loved the franchise ??

But the Dam Germans did a re-release , with a bit different shrink Wrap, so price has come down to about $100 ish now ?

This is not my thread, so Mr Sunny may want to add / delete any of my comments ??
