Looks great but seems a bit pricey @ £130 without shipping(£23.24). A steelbook would have made it a pretty flawless looking set. Or even a nice digipack with some nice art (considering there's 5 discs).

£128. It's nice but I got bills to pay.
The German 4K release with original title and longer cut is £16.80 on Amazon DE.

Obvs theres no comparison to this amazing set. Still. It's a lot of cashola.

Too rich for my wallet, but looking at the specs, i do wonder why Germany got an extended cut, but it was never released in the USA without dubbing/subtitles. Seems like it’d be easy enough to release it with the original dialog.

I want this set so badly.
How many £s per day can I shave off my personal hygiene requirements and essential nourishments to pay for it.
Maybe if I procrastinate long enough, they'll all sell out and I won't have to smell or only eat vegetables for six months.

It's so beautiful it makes a man want to cry.

I've only collected steelbooks in the last decade, with the odd digipack when they weren't available in that format.

However, I want to make the exception here, but it's so much money to lay out. I just couldn't.

One needs a windfall to happen before committing...

Now where did my incredibly (yet to be discovered) rich dead descendants leave theirs I wonder.

P.S. I looked at the monthly bundle, and that made me want that too. Damn, I may go off you @Billy Talent for showing me what's out there

So happy I've never seen this, never wanted to, and therefore won't 'need' to buy this.
Also, such a book-box from a studio in the 2000s would cost like 50 bucks.

P.S. Collectors in this thread be like:

OMG, how many kidneys will I have to sell, how many months live like an aspiring actor/screenwriter in LA (read: a smelly street vagrant, 'home challenged', 'temporary' without a registered address for the BlackRock mafia to exploit me), how many souls to sell, how many people to free from abominable slavery of earthly life, just to buy this awesome grail of a... box looking like a book in a library!

Same collectors in any Blufans/MantaLab thread:
ONE-CLICK of course! Easy peasy!

? The native language of the film is English. The director is German, but it was a Hollywood film shot in English, so it was released in USA without dubbing/subtitles. Am I misunderstanding you?

I bought this box set, but feel like it's a bit overpriced. Should have included a book/booklet as opposed to simple looking like a book.

US cut is 94 minutes, Germany extended is 104 minutes. From the specs they are all in English. You now have the set, it's disks 3 and 4 yes?

I wonder why the German cut isn't remastered from the 35MM negative like the US cut. Is it upscaled or did they do some other kind of 4K transfer? I have the limited Japanese Blu-Ray edition and in that one only the US cut is remastered. Why can't they ever remaster the German cut? It must not be worth the cost.

I just realized you probably meant the German edition was not released in the US without dubbing. Wasn't aware it was ever released in the US. I have the limited Japanese edition, but never watched the German cut on it. Not sure if it has forced dubbing/subtitles.
