I'm kinda torn because I'm a sucker for lenticular slips but I feel like this movie deserves a regular full slips because of the style of the movie.

Great choices..excited for this ones! Will stay up til 1am to order this beauties though I need to be up by 4am for 5am workshift

Any preorder gift for the lenti?

I know some people prefer a different slip to the steelbook itself, but I would have preferred the steelbook artwork itself to be duplicated on the slip, over all the other three designs (incl. lenticular).

I understand those who say a lenticular slip isn't really appropriate for the film's tone, but if the front artwork was used on the slip, I think a lenticular movement of his hands playing the piano would have looked quite good - and still fitting with the tone due to the dark background.

Anyway, it's been confirmed and it's still an impressive package. I'm definitely getting the non-exclusive 1/4 slip and I'm edging towards the lenticular, as while I don't dislike the full slips, they just don't really appeal to me design-wise.

Bravo! Kimchi has done it again! This looks amazing. Lenti's are my favorite, so that's Auto Matic. Plus, I just love the #1 art Full slip. I will need two of the Lenti, & one of the Full if'n that is permitted when ordering....can't wait to get these!

I've never really seen this film, only a bit on Netflix before it lagged out. Sort of a blind-buy but, Im sure I will love it. Can't wait to watch it.

Well, if I have to get up at 6:50 AM I guess my bedtime will be 9-10PM on a Friday night, thanks Kimchi :D.

That lenticular is gorgeous, I'm happy they're doing one and that it has a 1,5K print run, if you're there on Saturday/Sunday you probably won't miss out.

I don't know why people seem to think it's not appropriate to have a lenti for The Pianist, at the end of the day it's still just a film in a steelbook, I don't think that lenticulars should only be for "fun" films or that full slips are, what, more respectful or classy? :wtf:

Bring on the lentis is what I say. :oohyeah:

Yes, that's right; 22:00 on Friday for PDT (UTC-7 hours).

What are member's opinions on the print run? Does anyone feel 3,000 is a little high/excessive, vs 1,000 for Thor 2 for instance? As I'm beginning to think I don't even need to get up early on Saturday morning to order!

As long as the demand doesn't far exceed the supply like it did for Thor 2 or Frozen, it's good. It hasn't really been fun dealing with KimchiDVD's servers.

The only reason why Thor 2 and Frozen were limited to 1000 anyway is because Disney and Marvel were only willing to give KimchiDVD that many copies of a non-worldwide exclusive steelbook for their own special edition.

Gonna be at a bachelor party this weekend so looks like I'll have to join John's GB. Two kimchi releases in a row that I've been at a bachelor party. People better not getting married during iron man and rush, lol!

Let your friends know this in advance. If they still decide to get married or have bachelor parties on the relevant dates then they aren't true friends and you should just bin them off! :p

I'd actually really like if the lenticular version was just the image and then the film title and cast names etc were printed in white on a clear plastic slip to go over the top, like with the Leon full slip. Just an idea...
