Ordered, but hating the artwork, especially the black band at the top and the unnecessary "From the director of..." text. This could well end up being the first order I cancel due to lousy artwork.

I promised myself to order if there ever was gonna be a Steelbook of The Prestige, and since I don't think a title like this would get a re-release with different artwork soon (contrary to Nolan's Batman trilogy) I got myself one.

Great movie, but I would buy this just for the steelbook without ever having seen the movie. Love the trippy spiral.

I do agree about the banner up top and having it removed except for the title. Hopefully the names and "from the director of" is some sort of translucent j-card. Fingers crossed.

Example: the Ted steelbook image shows the j-card.

Zavvi would do well to remember that title debossing with gloss finish is sometimes the best choice, which would seem to be the case here.

...in fact, if you think about it, where is the border going to fall at the top? Is it gonna split the actors names in half? I am not one of the "I hate borders" people. I don't hate borders. I just don't see where it will go on this one.

I'm still not feeling it. Don't like this half-transparent black banner either. This is such a great movie and it deserves some better artwork. I think I'll cancel and see what this will look like in hands.

So it will be added in my collection.

Can we? looks just the same as the old pictures to me...still got that ugly banner at the top, I'll be relieved if they showed a pic of it without the banner so we knew it was a j card, at the moment Im still seeing a steelbook with an ugly banner

Glossy finish and embossed title are all well and good, but Id sacrifice one or both of those to get rid of that banner....

Actually I thought the same at first, but then I studied it quite a bit. They pushed the cast names higher, and moved the title from the center to the top. Since they are saying it will have an embossed title, that pretty much cements the fact the the new pic posted with the title at the top is the actual steelbook. The top part is not just a j-card, but with the title up there and the black bar at the top no longer such a wasted empty space, I do think it looks better than the original pic.
