I don't understand why they just can't release all films as region free. It would sure save us all a lot of trouble
it's to protect the local market.
Moon appears to be Glossy, hopefully this will be as well.

I just received my copy. It's matte.
Back art is Jane and Travolta with skull in between. Inside art is full colour close up of Jane firing crossbow.

Matte finish?? Think it looks alright design-wise (nothing amazing, but still...) and haven't seen the film yet so might give it a watchtonight (all supposing it is delivered today, which it should be!)

Although the front is definitely matte, the back almost changes colour slightly when light hits it. Shame it's not glossy/embossed, but I still like it.

This could be the reason.
Wow, talk about your wasted opportunity!!! I like the idea of matte, had the skull and title been spot glossed and embossed. I know we don't have much choice, but I sure was hoping for better on this one...as I'm sure most of you were as well.

another ****** steelbook from Zavvi I preordered. Shouldn't do it anymore... However, maybe for the 14,15 Euro I paid it is good enough.
Exactly! They could've made this a really nice release by spot glossing the skull (and the title).
Would've preferred debossed title myself, I'm getting weary of those embossing frames...
Right after I hit send on my message, I thought about that. The title would look much nicer debossed!
I would say disappointing, but I had little to no expectations for this. So guess I'll wait for the inevitable £9.99 price drop.
As a huge fan of the Punisher comics as a kid, I never understood why they couldn't make a good movie. This movie was pretty bad but the Dolph Lundgren one was a borderline c movie. I just feel like it would be awesome if they made one where he was gritty and not all cheesy. Also Travolta was so over the top in this. But I do like that steelbook cover. I think I will wait for a price drop.
