Had mine delivered to work, so won't be able to see it until Monday.

Mine has arrived. So pissed off though as the spine is slashed. Why is it that we can't seem to receive totally 'new condition' steelbooks these days? I shouldn't have to order multiples so that I get a non-damaged copy.

Now will have to hope some reserve stock will show up so I can try a 2nd time (again, shouldn't have to do this).

yeah that's what I worry most about when I get a steelbook Is the spine being slashed but if its not that then there is something else usually wrong with it, it seems to be rare to get a perfectly mint steelbook, my copy has a little paint chip on the front right side near the bottom but it isn't too bad thankfully it could be worse

I agree it's increasingly common to have a Steelbook that has at least a small defect. I think they've let quality control slip a little with all the Steelbooks they are producing at the moment. That being said, mine is mint fortunately and of course it looks awesome, so i'm very pleased

There's always a chance but they may just be damaged returns.

Just received mine and it came complete with a few scratches/scuffs under the j-card (both front and back). This is the first time I've not been completely happy with a steelbook from Play.

I'd definitely be returning it if it wasn't for it being OOS. But just to be sure... does anyone know if there's any chance of them being able to replace damaged copies?

I would doubt it Noodles, unless they have some cancellations or returns I think they will just offer you a refund

Ah well, it was bound to happen to me eventually. This is actually the first ever steelbook I've received from any retailer that I've not been happy with. Just a pity it had to be this steelbook, because apart from the scratches it's a bloody beauty!
