Recieved my copy today... Mint condition, which I was quite relieved with. Would of been gutted to pick up a copy so late and find it was scratched or dented and not be able to get a replacement.

yes, mine is an additional dent alongside the 'normal' manufacturing dent this release has been given. doesn't take away from the great steel though.

very impressive steel i must say!

Kudos to play.com, they've done well.

I missed out on this, but managed to get this from someone who ordered when it came back on sale last week....

Glad Play came through for those who ordered then...;)

Returning my scratched copy tomorrow for a refund. Any idea what Play do with unsealed returns?

I guess they destroy them/recycle them as they are unable to sell them on. Why would you return this to Play.com anyway? I'm sure someone would gratefull take it off your hands and probably pay more than you did for it. For a lot of people anything is better than nothing, especially if they can avoid paying the high prices for sealed copies.

Yeah depending how bad your scratch is Noodles, it might be worth selling it on. I'm pretty sure you will be able to get Your money back for it at least. It might be worth a shot.

I see... I guess that makes sense. I mentioned that I planned to return it quite a few times on here, and no one seemed interested, so I went ahead and submitted a claim for a refund earlier today. I gathered no one wanted it because of the damage, and to be honest I wouldn't have the heart to sell it for more than what Play charged anyway. It's not even worth the £15 IMO, so I would have lost money if I sold it... made more sense to me just to get a refund. :dunno:

Hmm I suppose. I feel bad now... I've just had two people PM me about it, but obviously it's already too late (Play have sent the pre-paid label and it's all packaged up ready to go). Apologies to those who were interested. :(

Don't feel bad mate, you didn't know there would would be anyone interested in it! I'm like that, I don't like selling damaged steels either. Sometimes it's easier just to send it back for a refund.:)

You dont have to return it yet, it's not in the post office so there is still time to change your mind!

Exactly mate... if I'm not happy with the condition of an item, then I'd feel really guilty selling it on to someone else. I'm kind of thinking I should have just held a giveaway now though, that way no one will complain if it's free! Oh well, there's plenty of other steels for me to give away at some point. ;)

It's all on their system now though... would look kind of strange if I phoned them back up saying I'd changed my mind. Plus I left it with my mum, because she said she'd save me a trip into town (yay, lie-in!) and post it on her way to work. :p

FYI it doesnt matter if you request a return or not. All the returns request does is print a shipping label out for you with a unique barcode that refers to your item. Return this or not makes no difference as they don't refund you until they receive the item. I done it before when I requested to return an unwanted item but decided to keep it, I didn't contact them, no one chased me up for it :hilarious:
