ok, I am gonna rant, about this forum,
all I did was ask a question about what is the deal with collecting pop vinyls? And then BOOM, my thread got locked hahaha

Look at Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles, and even Steelbook's. When BestBuy or Walmart or Target put out new release movies that also include Steelbooks, its like average, 5-10 Steelbooks and 40 Copies of any movie. You all know what I am talking about. the stuff Sideshow collectables sell they only make a handful. Go to Ebay look at older Hot Toys or out of production, and they have more than doubled their price and then some.
I also made a comment that those pop vinyls are most likely gonna go the way of the Beanie Babies, where as the market was flooded with them. take a walk in any store, the shelves of pop vinyls are ridiculously filled. you can bet that the warehouse is full of crates of those too lol.
yes, everyone is different. long time ago one of my co workers who is a bottle collector tried to sell me a bottle. said it was worth $750 and gonna offer it to me for $400. I told him no. And that's when it hit me about being a collector of anything. the only person that is gonna buy a collectable item of whatever you have, is someone else who is also a collector of the same product you are collecting, not your next door neighbor.

I like the stuff I am collecting, I only grab things that have meaning to me, Aliens, Predator and whatever cool things I can afford lol. I plan on giving all this stuff to my son for an inheritance purposes.
Knowing what I know now about collecting you have no idea how many times I would like to kick myself in the arse over stuff that I came into contact with from the past. the biggest one is the Kenner Alien Doll, I saw stacks of them at my local toy store, the price was $19.99 do you know how much they go for now?

sigh.
well, anyways, if my thread never got closed I would have never spent the time to write this, so thank him for my rant
