Those are the first FAC I'll pass because of the poor design and not because of the movie itself. But in the end I'm glad for everbody who buy them that they didn't embossed Leo's snot

Finally saw the movie yesterday. It reminds me of "Dances with Wolves".
While quite entertaining, I don't think its that kind of movies that you'd rewatch several times.
So unless the package is unique, I'll skip this one (or even the Manta Lab version).

Odd that FilmArena has two of its weakest releases in a row with Independence Day and The Revenant. (and their new unnumbered Sicario isn't all that great either imo)

Both share the same characteristic flaw: they don't represent the film— full slip of ID4 feels like Will Smith is in a WW2 movie, and The Revenant is all about close-ups on Leo and Tom's faces (that feel more like production stills) when there's so much cool imagery to the film- which MantaLab makes great use of.

That being said I held off on buying any Revenant version until now and I'll probably get the FAC Leo one - on top of one MantaLab version obviously (the leather edition better be sold individually).

In fairness, even the official main poster is basically just a close-up of DiCaprio's face, I think these ones at least paint a better idea of the film than that one, if nothing else.

I think to be fair to FAC I see what they are going for here. I like the idea of protagonist vs antagonist slips. I personally think these are being slightly underrated.

Didn't think about it but after seeing the Sicario move I can see it happening.

Its a bad move and will only turn off collectors from their products. I guess they haven't learned yet. Only time will tell.

I don't see the problem. Last time I checked on their site it's not mandatory to buy everything they release. Imo the 3rd slip of Sicario was a good bonus. Did I not like it I wouldn't bought it
