This is one of my most anticipated movies this year. By the time this comes out during Christmas it will have been two years since we've seen DiCaprio on the big screen. Last being Wolf of Wall Street.

I would consider DiCaprio a rare A list actor that is both an excellent actor and has good to great box office appeal. Now he's teamed with the latest Oscar winning director and a great supporting cast (Hardy - established actor, Gleeson and Poulter - up and coming). Gritty, brutal survival story based on real person; this has Oscar buzz all over it and I can't wait for a trailer.

Agreed. Too bad the blu ray transfer on the last edition was nothing special:(

Yeah, I've read that and it's also region A locked which is no good for me. So I'm really hoping for a new release, hopefully soon! Wouldn't hold my breath though. :(

Hehe, tell me about it. Can't believe how bad that is!

I'll have no other option than to stick with my dvd for now.

Really- (and I am all about HD)- your upconvert that your Blu ray player is doing for you, is probably exactly the same quality as the blu ray image on that last transfer. (And I have to seriously wonder if the blu ray is actually the DVD upconverted and NOT a new transfer. It is that weak).
And your cover is better!
