Great find G:Box, just after I started a thread about Warner's poor show this year! Added it to upcoming releases.

They usually do, but it says that this can't be shipped to my address and throws it out of the shopping cart.

I was very surprised to read this, so tried to order my copy, It was rejected for my parent's UK address and my own Spanish address. This is a new and worrying development. Wonder if its the work of Amazon or Warner! I'll dig deeper when I get the chance tomorrow. :(

Just tried to put an order in and it also says can't ship to this address? I'm not sure what's going on. I tried with a couple of other bits and they went to the checkout ok, hopefully this is just a temporary issue with this title.

Woke up this morning with a bright idea - or so I thought! Why not try to order from Canadian Amazon. Very interesting result... its not showing as being available in Canada (yet). I'm wondering whether this is just an Amazon error, or a rights issue.

Can anyone else shed any light on this?

EDIT ------------------------------------------------------------

Just tried ordering from DVDempire and all seems to be OK - got to the Paypal page without any problem, I don't want to order yet however, since they use UPS and I know that will probably mean a hefty customs fee. So hopefully this is an "error" by our friends at Amazon?

Well, this is the response i got from Amazon:

Hello,

I'm sorry for the problem you had with placing the order

I checked The Right Stuff (30th Anniversary Edition) [Blu-ray] on our website and verified that it can't be shipped to ######. Warranty and legal restrictions limit the delivery destinations for some products.

Books, DVDs and CDs can be shipped to most countries. To view Video Games, Software, Electronics, Watches, Jewelry, Apparel, Shoes, Sporting Goods and Health and Personal Care items that can be shipped to select countries outside the United States, please visit Amazon Global (http://www.amazonglobal.com).

You're welcome to purchase from other Amazon websites as well. You'll find links to our international websites at the bottom of any Amazon.com web page.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

So It looks like they have a restriction on this title. Weird indeed.

That is strange, I've never heard of them doing this before. It's going to be a little trickier to get hold of now.

I had this problem a couple of months ago when I tried to pre-order
some steelbooks from amazon.ca. Never had this problem before.

BUT as soon as the release day was passed, I was able to order the
same titles with no problem. Hopefully this goes for "The Right Stuff"
as well - just have to wait till November 5th I guess ...

Cheers,
T.
