Terrible front cover. Looks like 2 borders because of the grey border. It seemed they couldnt get someone to edit out the grey border, so left it in. They should have thickened the grey border and made THAT the embossed part. Bunch of idiots to be honest!!

I am the opposite mate I think it really suits it kinda makes it look like it is from the time the film relates too. :scat:

Overall this is not a huge letdown. It looks good.

But let's pretend for a moment that I was in charge of the design.

- Remove grey border and extend image to fullscreen on the cover
- No emboss (so no border). Instead, deboss title only
- High gloss finish
- Put image from inside left on back cover
- Put image from back cover on the inside

That would have been a supremely awesome Rocketeer.

What we have here is... pretty good, and certainly not bad.

Such a shame they fudged up the border on this one... it would've been a nice steelbook otherwise.

Well after seeing the inside artwork, that makes the off-centered frame on the front easier to accept. I guess it kinda looks "art-deco" which is what they were going for. I'm excited to get this after all.

This is a huge let down. It doesn't look half as good as the stock photo. The colours are very dull and it looks like a knock-off as the overall printing isn't very crisp at all.

These arrived this morning :)

Initial reaction this morning when these arrived :oohyeah:

All 3 are title embossed with embossed frame except for Starship Troopers.

I gather people are not liking the design and interior to The Rocketeer, but since it is not out on blu ray here (U.K.), I guess I am lucky to get a copy at all.

Hope everybody gets there's soon, if you are still waiting.

Have fun to those who have :scat:

Today's Disney/Touchstone Haul.

Not overly impressed with these, to be honest. I've taken some light intensity photographs to try and show that the horrible Warner UK Premium Collection Range finish (remember the one where you apply light and the image disappears) has resurfaced.

There are no extras -- it's the same disc Disney released, and they didn't bother to include anything.

Yes, it's sort of funny to have a steelbook release with absolutely no added supplemental content.

I find this EXTREMELY disappointing. There really is no excuse for vanilla discs in this day and age. Laziness. Pure. Simple.

I actually really like it. Don't get me wrong I prefer the mock up that was posted on zavvi but it's still a beautiful steel in hand. Just checked out the picture and the transfer is awesome. Really impressed. Watching this tomorrow, it must have been nearly 15 years
