what if those 50% will never sell, because the actual demand is lower ?

every movie has its fanbase, just that this movies fanbase is imho too low to make this steel really sought after

Agreed, I love this film but if some jackwagon reseller on ebay was trying to con someone say 30 GBP I'd laugh and resign to never having it.

I'm going to buy 30 copies and be a jerk in the hope I can flip them later on. Ok slick deals...

My copy turned up with quite a few deep scratches towards the bottom of the opening side. It looks like the kind of manufacturing fault that would be on more than one copy. Anyone else see it on theirs?

While this theory is correct a lot of times ... I will have to disagree in this instance.

While this doesnt have the fanbase of much larger Disney films ... it makes up for it in the fact it has a rabid fanbase.

Even sideshow makes statues on Rocketeer every so often. There are prop forums where people recreate suits and helmets from Rocketeer etc. and also forums dedicated to rocketeeer.

While all that is niche at best ... its still much more when compared to other films. I also think those interested in Rocketeer will and could have easily let this release slide by them without a notice .... but eventually they'll soon find out about the steelbook release they missed and want to add it to their rocketeer collection.

Not saying it will have crazy demand by any means, but it will def have more demand then most films released this year come next year.

I think Roger Rabbit tho is the next grail when looking at only zavvi releases. :D

Glad this is still around after the weekend. After being sold-out for so long, was happy to jump on one of these cancellations. I am looking forward to add this one to the collection!

Me too!

Happy that I was able to order one last weekend and earlier today I got the dispatched email.

Same here! :oohyeah:

i personally like the steelbook, and how it looks. I personally love this film and couldn't wait for its release since having it pre-ordered from day 1, but...

I personally dont like zavvi and the fact that probably half those copies in stock atm are from the phantom cancellations many people like myself got

so that being said, if anyone in the states receives one of these, opens it and gets bored of it, send me a message. I rather give my money to you !

Has anyone with 2 or more copies noticed a sight difference/variance in colour of the artwork on these?

I have two copies, one seems to have more of a purple hue and the small picture of the bottom of the spine seems darker whilst the white writing on the other seems lighter

Does this have sort of black specs on the artwork? I have seen the same issue with my copy on some pictures but just wondered if anyone else had noticed.

Yes I noticed that too, it's just part of the design. If you look at the mock up closely you can see the black specs.

Mine arrived today and I’ve noticed something similar, though they’re more like a couple of light scratches and they're on the top of the opening side. Very odd.

Got my copy yesterday and am EXTREMELY disappointed. The colors are sooo dark, almost looks like its saturated in black and the border around it is worse than I thought. Will not be keeping mine. The colors should have been more bold and vibrant would have made this a nicer steel.

my copy should be arriving soon, love this film and really am looking forward to seeing it in hi def, and the steelbook looks amazing from the pics I've seen :D
