You're in for a treat if you plan on seeing the US cut! I just wonder if the pacing will be better. I know there are scenes in the US cut that seem like they could've been cut, like the doctor appointment scene with terrible acting from Wendy. Kubrick also preferred the shorter cut.

I stupidly without thinking sold my US import in preparation for the UK steel without realising the US was the uncut version. What an idjut

Some more pics. It's actually a really nice Steelbook. Glad I picked it up

Even though it's matte, it has a decent finish. No streaks (on mine anyway) The back pic is quite low in resolution, but sort of changes in the light as you move the Steelbook.

Maybe I'm not sure what a streaky finish is, but that looks like a streaky finish. It's at least very dull. Other than that it's a cool design.

What you mean with streaks ?

I dont know the sense of the silly metallic effect, Warners uses on there latest steelbooks.
It look like the shadows on this backcover have the metallic shiny effects. Why they use not a normal metallic effect on the blue backgound or the face ?

I hope they use for the Full Metal Jacket steelbook a other metallic effect(especially for the helmet).

The german DVD steelbook has a very nice metallic effect.

Maybe. But when Amazon's packaging tend to arrive 3-5 days after they've been posted via normal post, you can't help but wonder.

It's definatly 119 mins, the extended cut has never been released over here. They must have used the existing US disc artwork.

I think it's weird that they put the Ireland 18 and the BBFC 15 on the front. Then the Ireland (IFCO rating) suddenly disappears on the j-card.

I think it's weird that it's got an 18 rating in Ireland and only 15 in the UK. Usually we're the same in Ireland if not more liberal sometimes.

Anyone know why this got an 18 in Ireland?
