I think it’s a bit funny, too. Get out of your mom’s basement is just a colloquial way of calling someone a loser. I wouldn’t interpret him so literally. Besides, probably like 99% of the people who watch his films in 4K are oblivious to any of the shortcoming that are discussed in a forum like this. He’s really just having a go at a small number of people (I’m speculating here on how he sees it) who are trying to tell him how his movies are supposed to look. Might as well have a laugh and move on because he’s not going to go back and remaster it again.

Btw @Stu123 I’m not taking a shot at you here. From a broader perspective, you’re right that people - and certainly most politicians - need much more recognition and sensitivity about privilege and economic inequality.

I think saying that movies have moved on from film is a fair enough opinion from him, but trying to make a movie look like it wasn't shot on it, when it was, such as Aliens seems strange to me from a top filmmaker .

Yes. It's WB, and with no sign of collector's editions, or other variants, it should be the same.
