This unused Criterion art would look nice on a steelbook.
And that saves me some cash (relief) but disappointing compared to the other Fox mock ups for this wave. I just don't see what the art really has to do with the story besides the obvious soldier/bullet images which if anything goes against the vision as portrayed by Terrence Malick, where is the nature vs man that could so easily be shown with minimal art like this?
This is it gentlemen - we're watching the history being written here! Our children will remember this as the '****** steelbook artwork day'!
Also for a film so complex about men and war it does seem reductive to equate soldiers to bullets.
As much as I love this movie (it's probably my favorite war film) and would have bought this in an instant, this steel is very underwhelming considering the potential it had. It does have pretty decent interior artwork though 
Let's see here... should I trade in my Criterion with stunning artwork, an awesome booklet, and the best Video/Audio quality immaginable... for a steelbook with crappy artwork, that just might arrive scratched or dented, and a lesser quality disc (can't be as good as Criterion)? Tough question...
