Wow, what a hideous let down. That makes it the second great war movie after Platoon to have a dull and lazy steelbook (though this one is far worse). Whoever did this design obviously hasn't seen the movie because that art is completely unsympathetic to it. What a shame!

All the good art for this movie keys into its central theme, which is the conflict between human nature and the natural world. This steelbook design ignores all that and offers only a simplistic iconography that could be applied to any war movie and that says nothing about the character of this particular film. To me it looks more like it was knocked up by a graphic design intern who hasn't even seen the movie.

That's my feeling on it anyway.

Hmm this artwork is rather odd for this movie. I mean it's unique but very generic in terms that it can be applied to any war movie. I feel that it really misses the point of the movie.

I think we have to accept that most of the time the people designing these steelbooks won't have seen the films. This seems to be one key problem with steelbook design.

If I didn't know the movie, I'd say it was from the 40's, judging only by the artwork. It probably will be one of those titles sold for 8.99 a couple months after the release date.

Seems like a sin to release this movie on that artwork ,can't imagine Terence had anything to do with it , mind you it's still better than the stuff I,ve seen for butch Cassidy and the sun dance kid ,that really is a disaster .
