"I knew Mondo had 2 brilliant posters for the film by Tomer Hanuka and Joao Ruas, which was daunting already of course, but I wasn’t prepared for the scope and lyricism of the film itself. I find that what gives the film most of its power is something you can’t really see, the world of “life and light” stolen from the characters by the conflict. Any good war film has to deal with that idea somehow, the world each soldier loses and can probably never return to in life. But it’s the biggest thing, most beautiful thing in this film, a character unto itself. That’s why I’ve treated the negative space this way in my design.” – Peter Diamond
