I had never seen one before. I also wasn't sure Amazon ever actually released it. Must be limited to like 50 copies.

I highly doubt that. Its just we never got notice of it until it was too late. Same thing with Ultimate Bourne Collection. when we heard about it on here it was already down to like 200 copies in stock.

I remember seeing this up on Amazon.jp. I wanted to preorder it, but if I recall correctly there was no way to add it to your cart. It just had a get notified by email when this comes in stock button. After checking in on it a second time, it disappeared from the site. Really surprised to see that it got released. I thought it got cancelled.

Anyone with a copy of this steelbook should put it in a safe deposit box and have it insured for big bucks. A local collector tipped me off to this listing on Amazon JP for this holy grail:

Supposedly the same steel but no one has an unsealed picture to confirm and at this asking price and its scarcity, we may never know. One thing (no pun intended) we do know is that the slip that designates it as a Japanese release is the true holy grail. So never it be said that a slip cover is just a piece of paper/cardboard or a passport is just a photo book

There must be no more than 50 copies of this in circulation is my guess.

Yes, this one is for some reason. It sold out super fast probably bought out by collectors immediately or that Amazon received very few copies suitable for sale. Looking at the third party listings, there are only two listings when if the item is popular and readily available, there are usually a bunch of resellers.
