CRAP. it's the new one. I'm guessing 99% of you were hoping the same thing I was: A new steelbook of the Carpenter version that isn't the hideous horizontal version.

You could always swap the disc out for the original The Thing, or get a 2 disc insert and stick both versions in it. It's a very nice steelbook (even if it does lack inside art). It is a shame the original The Thing has such an ugly steelbook (imo)
