An 8 digit SKU indicates that this will not be carried in-store at Best Buy. Apparently none of the May 7th SteelBooks will be on the shelf.

Well i'm glad that this is sufficiently different (but not too much) from the FS version to keep everyone happy. That said I sold mine already in anticipation of the Zavvi edition. Glossy Warner Steelbooks always beat their crappy matte finished ones. The artwork on this and the FS version is great but the finish is pretty awful.

Yeh the matte finish looks horrible.

I can't see new collectors paying for the FS version now though. Value will only be preserved by older collectors.

I'd say who what he likes. This is a great movie with no doubt and now we have on the market to choose FS edition, USA and CA rereleases and upcoming zavvi release. Someone who like oryginal FS edition but want so save the money will choose this new rerelease, someone who do not like this (matt finish no embossing) will get zavvi edition (glossy finish with embossing). I'm glad that we all have right now wider choice, each choose something for themselves for sure. This is a great alternative for new collectors and for this which will buy all editions of this movie in steelbooks, because each of them are different in its own way with some pros and cons.
Personally I prefer the most oryginal FS edition because it has inner artwork and better cover (especially front) than zavvi upcoming release where big Ben Affleck face on the front is too boring for me, but preordered it too because of glossy and embossing finish. So, perfect steelbook of "The Town" for me would be with artworks from FS edition with glossy and ebossing from zavii
