We***8217;re certainly planning to continue doing all future seasons of The Walking Dead in steelbook with matching artwork ***8211; it looks likely season 4 will be out in September 2014 as it follows the same pattern as Game of Thrones (i.e. the new season hits DVD and Blu-Ray just before the new season starts).

We***8217;ve been told that the steelbooks will feature in the US Walking Dead magazine, so likely to be quite a bit of international interest for these.

The Entertainment Store is pleased to announce our latest exclusive steelbook releases: Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of The Walking Dead, AMC***8217;s Emmy Award winning TV series.

Each season features world exclusive artwork by Mark Simpson AKA Jock, who is responsible for some of best regarded comics and art of this generation, having worked on 2000AD, The Losers and Hellblazer amongst others as well as producing artwork for many major film studios, including the artwork for HDN Steelbook of the Year 2012 winner The Raid.

The Walking Dead: Season 2 (Entertainment Store Exclusive Blu-Ray Steelbook):

In the meantime, our full range of steelbooks is available here: http://www.play.com/stores/EntertainmentStore/Steelbooks

The Entertainment Store has been trading on Marketplaces since 2013 and is proud to retail only authentic and high quality Entertainment goods, delivered to customers direct from the Studio and Publishers.

I wish Scanavo would go back to the drawing board with the Jumbos. I don't see why they can't do a slightly thicker closer to 15 or 22 mm all steel outer shell design that can accommodate more discs. Jumbo 2.0

Ive always wondered why a jumbo has to be quite so jumbo..4 disks fit in a regular sized steel, its tight but it works, but in a jumbo theres room for 5 or 6 (maybe even more) disks easily with room to spare, surely a steel thats maybe 25% thinner than a jumbo and fits 5 or 6 disks is feasible, and not all that thicker than a regular steelbook....

Looks nicer than I thought. Internal art would win me over but I'm guessing it's just black plastic??? (Up jumbo had internal artwork, why can't they do it)

Cheers

Yeah shiny black plastic inside. At least the picture discs inside are nice.

I agree a slimmed down version would look far better and take up less space on the shelf.

The debossing on this is the laziest I've ever seen! It's not very deep and is out of sync too! Not impressed.

Ive noticed that with quite a few steelbooks of late though, the embossing/debossing of titles is less of a letter and more of just a random shape thats roughly the same shape as the text, the recent fifth element one was a prime example, the embossing on the title of that was appalling

I dont see why 'The' was debossed on these as its just a square covering all the letters, I wouldnt have bothered, but you have a point about the depth of the debossing, its not very 'deep' but I dont think this is more of a scanavo issue than a retailer issue.....like everything else, paint finishes, quality of embossing etc all come down to cost...

Im still very happy with these though

I bought these from their eBay store on the 14th, it is marked shipped on the 17th. It's shipping to the US, and it's still not here.

Anyone else having a problem receiving theirs?

I agree... Been sitting on the fence with this one for awhile. Love the show, but I hate the abominations that are jumbos... Guess it looks like I'm waiting for a nice box set / package of the entire series and passing on these.

Hey dfoles,

I assume you ordered from the Entertainment Store's eBay page (?) How was their packaging? I've heard some horror stories ...

Thanks.

It was open on both ends with about 1.5 inches of opening before you reach a smaller part of cardboard on the inside that was taped in place to keep it from sliding out. This is where the steelbook actually is.

Being a jumbo steelbook, the packaging was JUUUST big enough to fit it in. I was worried, as you can see two dents in the cardboard, but the steel was unaffected.

I may have just gotten lucky, but I would like to believe that their shipping will be like this regularly.

Thanks, dfoles (and for the pics as well).
I'm looking to get the 1-3 set through Entertainment Store, but based on your description, I'm still a bit worried. Maybe they would ship all 3 seasons together (as one order) in a larger box ... but who knows.
I could always see if one of the UK HDN members has this ... i.e., Group Buy.

Thanks again.

There is a group buy with an awesome shipper. It gets shipped the same way to them, but I'd rather it ship to him and get reboxed then have it ship transatlantic
