I've never played a Witcher game but have heard so many great things about them, especially this one. I'm still hoping to pick it up at some point... just need to get to the stage where I'm interested in gaming again, because the last thing I want to do is add another title to my pile of incomplete games.

Hmm tempting! I love being able to just lie on my bed and lose myself in the Switch, but this is a game I'd want to experience with the best graphics, so I'm not sure if to pick it up or not...

Developed to take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware, the next-gen edition of the game will feature a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.

The next generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release as a standalone purchase for PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, as well as a free update for everyone who already owns the game on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

I held off from playing the PS4 version in the past two years after rumours of the upgrade surfaced. Is this complete edition the absolute best way to play the game? Should I get into it now or would it be still outdated for me to enjoy?
