I really like this one, because the inside art is more of what i expected for the outside. Which in turn makes it unique cause I didnt expect the front to look like that. So to me its a win/win as I get the art i want inside, then get a unique front and back.

I think the artwork goes well with this movie, just not my type of movie even as a kid. I can dig Humphrey Bogart, but Judy Garland...ehh.

How can you not like this film? It's one of the most beloved Hollywood classics of all time and young Judy Garland was a major talent back in the day. Michael Jackson & Diana Ross even did a funky remake back in '78 ;)

This may end up being one of my all time favorite steelbooks. That technicolor cover has me mesmorized

yeah it's a classic. But they overplayed it on TV. It used to be an annual kind of thing. It's like a Christmas Story too. I used to love that movie until they started showing it 24/7 on Christmas eve. Too much of a good thing

Well, didn't say it's not a classic, just that to me it was always like watching a school play & not a movie. I just could never get past the bad costumes & sets.

I know it was made back in the day, but so were Casablanca, Citizen Kane, & The Maltese Falcon & I enjoy those.

As Dazcap said: To each their own. Just go onto IMDb Top 250 movies & see what our peers have voted as their top movies. It's a never ending debate because it's all about personal taste. I love Dark Knight, but no way it deserves to be in the top 50 movies of all time, let alone in the Top 10! Toy Story 3 above Alien? :hilarious:

Anyway, back on topic. It's a classic movie & for many people it's one of their favorites & that's fine. However, for me it's a little too cheesy.

There is only one thing I dont like about this one ... and it may just be me. You notice how it has her dress on the back side. You can see it goes around the top hinge. So when the steelbook is closed the spine is all black except for a part up top that shows the white as it carries over on the design.

Yeah, that is a little strange. Thanks for the pics and vid by the way. Looks good!
