Yeah I know the feeling- and in case it helps was just a dislay shelf to sit at the checklanes and not one of the freestanding ones though, so didn't hold a ton and was split between 1/3 steel, 1/3 amray, and 1/3 DVD it looked like

Oh yeah, I know what you're talking about. That's actually not a cardboard display. That's the typical end cap set up. They didn't even have WOWS on the end cap when I came in. Which means maybe they did have more than 2. When it comes to games, movies and other media, they are never prepared on release day by opening. I can walk in there 10 minutes after opening and they are still putting their stock out. But I digress. I looked over my two copies pretty quickly because I was in a rush to get to work. If they are damaged, they are going back, that's for sure.

I walked in to Target and picked up the copies I needed for the GB, but I didn't see any issues on any. The cashier told me someone had bought around 10 a few minutes before me. I got to the office and I took at look at them and there are no issues with any of the copies.

Second Target had at least 12, all copies had some sort of flaw. I examined each copy and took the Lesser of evils. I opyed for a factory flaw over paint chips on the bottom, or flaws on the Front. Even my copy had a crease in the top left corner. Too bad! It had some great Stickers, I wanted to get a copy to keep sealed, but no luck finding a cherry copy. I would only get a spare if it was 100% minty fresh. Like JLW. Here's the display.....pic

Its a pretty underwhelming release, but I wanted to see the movie and it was the same cost for the steel versus amray and steel always wins in that case.

Does anyone know if this release is region locked after all? I think I can see a 1 (NTFS) region symbol on the lower left side of the back cover...does that also refer to the Blu ray disc?

No, only region A B C refers to BD. I am not sure if this is region free, chances are it is, but I am not sure.

I think overall many people were disappointed with this release. Mainly for the artwork, but also because of the multiple defects the steelbook seems to have. I went to my local Target, and out of the dozen or so copies I could only find one "decent" copy. As for the artwork, it isn't nearly as good as the other releases- yet for the same price as the regular release one can hardly complain. Hopefully this experience gets more streamlined the more releases come out.

Opened my copy and it has a tiny ding on top (under the paper insert) from those stupid anti theft cases they put their steelbooks in. Target, what a joke

By any odd reason someone is reading this that makes decisions on retailers carrying exclusive blu ray releases, please don't let Target have any more exclusives. They always figure out a way to mess something up.

This just isn't that nice of a release. The UK one is much better by design. Too bad... it's a good price for a steelbook but if it's also having paint-chips, dents, etc. galore and weaker artwork, forget it...

I picked up mine today as well. Have not opened it yet but half the copies had spine slashes on them and will probably never sell except to the person that does not know any better
