Any idea if the disc to digital will work with this, miffed no digital copy

The only one of the 3 steelbooks available for disc to digital is They Live and it doesn't work with the mobile disc to digital. If they used an older version of the blu ray (pre-2013) and just stuck it in a new case then it might work if you use the home disc to digital with a blu ray drive. The other 2 movies are MGM who does not participate in Disc to Digital.

This one came dented in thanks to a bubble bag, I wish they would use better packaging, a bubble bag is just a disaster waiting to happen, I had some steelbooks in past that came in proper card boxes, seems it's hit and miss though.

Also they seem to have changed their return process from the last time I used them which has been a while, they are trying to do a Zavvi style discount but 20% though or giving me the option to return it with them covering the cost, they will send the replacement right away and ask for the items to be sent back in 30 days, I did ask them to send in better packaging which they said they would, we will see soon.

Scream Factory (Shout Factory) don't do digital copies with their own releases
Scream are like arrow video they do their own remastering scan of the films and production of the Blu-ray and also do the production of extras on the disc

From what I've read Scream Factory and Shout Factory movies do work with Vudu's disc to digital service. I guess it makes since since it's a separate company than Shout. Not sure if they have that in other countries, but in the USA and maybe Canada we can use our own physical media to get a digital copy of the movie through Vudu (for $2 Blu Ray or $5 DVD). I've even had some luck with foreign versions of movies working.

Vudo physical media conversion service of a DVD/Blu-ray It's not a true digital copy like you have with itunes or ultraviolet which is provided by the film distributor

I'm actually surprised some of the film distributors have agreed to this service as payment is required and is not the customer doing a personal copy for free

Here's the offer for returns of damaged items to Zavvi for customers in Canada. It would have cost me $10.00 Canadian to ship it. I decided to keep the item.

As per company policy we can only refund postage costs equal to 15% of the returned item's value.
In this instance that is £2.04 which is roughly $3.52 CAD.

Actually it is Ultraviolet. It is actually the best ultraviolet provider out there in the USA. I wouldn't use it if it wasn't:) Vudu's Disc to Digital was one of the main selling points of ultraviolet when it first arrived. Back then you actually had to take your movies in to (shudder) Wal-Mart. I can see all my disc to digital movies in my Ultraviolet account. It shows up the same as if you redeemed a code that came with the movie.

Yeah their unfair for overseas customers, I'm in the UK and I can't stand Zavvi, their still poor compared to Amazon for customer service, I have cut down on steelies I buy from Zavvi this year.

My new copy arrived the other day, they don't listen over at Amazon in the packaging and shipping department, the customer service rep said they would be using better packaging, still a bubble bag but they upgraded to AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping so it survived this time, I guess I better get the damaged one ready to return.

That's just a standard reply
They have to pay the cost of standard post

Sale of goods act faulty goods means a replacement or full refund
Where goods are to be returned standard postal cost to return goods must be covered by the retailer
Note that's standard postal costs not registered postal costs
If you want to return goods as recorded delivery customer is responsible for extra postal costs outside of standard postal cost

Zavvi you need to push for the standard postal costs be covered and have done when I insisted on the cost be covered

Amazon used to let you keep faulty goods when cost of return due to postal costs but from what I have seen recently they now started to insist on return of the goods

Hey Paul is there a way to talk to Amazon Italy and Germany about packaging methods? They used to package each one in a envelope and then place inside a box. I wish they would do that again.

Amazon Germany with steelbooks for me been in brilliant packaging as in best overall out all the retailers as in very good packaging
What type of packaging have they used to send to USA

Amazon Italy I ordered 3 transformers steelbooks and arrived in strong box might be just luck on that occasion as usually it's high risk and I try to avoid ordering single steelbook with amazon Italy as I had a few arrive damaged and a few that was ok

They just put them inside a box and they slide around.
