Steel is very nice, but that lenti is just meh! Looks on par with the Iron Man one! Great steel boring lenti.

And yeah those cards are just poor. Considering what this costs it should have been A LOT better!

I don't get the choice for the lenti art either. What is Thor going to do when we move the lenti? Smile, stick out his tongue, close his eyes?

How can you say poor choice when you haven't seen it move for a lenti? I'm not an expert by any means but isn't that kind of the point?

Im no expert myself but from my experience of observing lentis, this looks like he will just shift his head a little bit lol (you can see in the third pic, he is kinda looking in another direction). And with this just being a close up of his face and nothing in the background, theres only so much depth that can be provided. Coupled with the fact that is all red doesn't help its chances either. Of course we will all have to wait a see but im not optimistic about it. Better choices out there for a lenti.

I guess I probably agree, I hope he isn't just turning his head. I can't imagine that's it, with BF having such a good catalog of lentis I would be surprised. Now I'm worried

I love the Lenti artwork, assuming it has a bit of depth, and slight movement like IM & CAP.

@Actarus I know what you mean, why you were let down a bit by this Marvel wave. This could have been the utmost quality finish like UP, with inspired artwork.

I would have loved to see the Mark 1 lenticular on Iron Man. Or a different Cap Lenti artwork, at least so it matched the set a bit better (solo close up Lenti)

as a set, this will be killer tho

at the end of the day it is what it is, they screwed up what could have been stunning and it is just average. BUT I will say that THOR is indeed from the Pic a sure hit... if the spot gloss is anywhere near what they did with the KFP 1 and 2 steels, it will be superb...this is basically the only one exciting me, that and Thor 2 looks well done as well, but again so many with same artwork is redundant...lets just hope they pick up the ball and make up for it with GOTG

...but nothing can compare from the Marvel releases wave to the previous releases...Maybe Thor can come close as it seems very similar as the original Amazon Japan, but until we have it in hands it is debatable..love the clods though nice touch... but anything CA, let it be.

As usual- I can't (and I won't) truly judge a steelbook (and it's slipcover) until in hand. I've seen beautiful pictures become terrible steelbooks and vice versa. But, if I was moved to give the benefit of the doubt 'quality-wise' to one company- it would probably be BLUFANS.

The boss of steelbooks is back with a hit. Another home run from Blufans. Thor is indeed a fantastic steel. I'm sure the lenti will look better in hand, but this was the design that was shown last year when they did the GB for it. The 1/4 slip is gonna be the winner, but for me, it's double or nothing. I'll be getting both the lenti and 1/4 slip. Blufans all the way.

Actually, now that you mention it. This is the exact art that was shown for the GB back in the day....

Man U guys never stop impressing me with all your negativity lol and for Ur info there is no such thing as HMV exclusive, it belongs to a WWA batch so there U have it, this isn't just WEA for the steel itself it also comes with a unique & in-Ur-face Lenti plus artcards so comparing it to that is not really ideal not unless U want to compare the steelbooks alone. Besides the Japan Thor steelbook of the WWA IS the king of THOR steels from the 1st WWA batch (even though the slip is tiny...)

Anyway this turned out to look just as promised a year or so ago and I'm lovin' every bit of it just like I did back then when it was announced so stop diggin' old news and throw back at us in this thread.... now let's move on - BF send us the shipping invoices NOW as I want this baby sooooo bad

This looks excellent. Best of the Marvel bunch from BF. Also it has been repeated tonnes and tonnes and tonnes of time that no retailer has control over artwork so no point in blaming BF for lenticular art.
