It goes live tomorrow. So it says SOLD OUT now. It is confusing.

For anyone new to the 'crazy' world of zavvi with all the technology in 2015 they have been unable to put into listings either it says nothing or maybe say coming soon, the constant sold out buttons do confuse people but that is zavvi for you.

I'd advise you start looking at the page around 5.45pm as often not always they go live early and the sold out will change to preorder. Hope this helps :)

This wave as cool as some of the art is , is just a huge xmas cash in from zavvi
Stupidly overpriced and with this years blufans and nova release these are just third rate at best

Do iron man 2 fine, zavvi haven't done it before but so many titles they have already sold steelbooks of, how about doing films that have never been given steelbooks. I mean some awesome films don't even have bluray

The Price is just the RRP price at the moment they will drop in price when they go live most likely £24.99 or £25.99 for the 3D/2D Steelbooks
Take for example the new Thor steelbook that is live on Saturday it is £24.99 (Save £3.00) if you took off that £3.00 it would be £27.99

Zavvi a lot of the time only adjust the price on or just before its scheduled to go live and before they do this they only list the RRP price
None of the other new Marvel Steelbooks have save £??? yet
So they should drop in price when they go live

They not even officially listed yet on the Zavvi website in the Steelbook section so prices not 100% yet

Iron Man 1 and Captain America First Avenger that were tied to the Zbox and not available to purchase on their own had no reason to have reduced price as they were not available to order on their own

Thor is 100% available to pre order on its own on Saturday and the others are not officially listed yet but you should see them drop in price when they are

I'm sorry but I'm not sure how some people can justify saying £24.99 Is a decent price for any of these.
This is old now regardless of it including 3D
I would expect age of ultron and ant man (when they finally re release them like this) to be £24.99 maybe as they are much newer but even then it will be sometime next year so I'd even expect them to be cheaper

I'm a little bit annoyed of the all of a sudden rest of the marvel universe steelbooks being announced with apparent dates between the last week of Nov and first few weeks of Dec.
I've said it a million times but they need to space releases like this out BUT with Christmas around the corner we all know what their intentions are.
knowing zavvi a lot of these dates will not be reachable as their eyes are too big for their belly.

Iron man and cap have gone through loads of date changes I can see these doing a simular thing but of course they won't tell you and all of a sudden the first week of Jan people who order all these will be charged for 7 steelbooks at £24.99 or higher in one hit

Bedknobs is supposed to be out Monday and I can see that having a date change

I kinda miss the days when zavvi announced steels 2/3/4 months in advance. Now they seem to announce them and put them up for pre order a week or 2 before the release date. Kinda annoying IMO

Pass. No tripple dip for me.

If you didn't get the earlier releases, this is a good option for you except you are getting less from the price Zavvi is asking.

I do quite like the front artwork, the back is just lazy

I doubt they lenti will be good if it is the same quality as the avengers one (n)

Still can't beat the Blufans one!! :cigar: so will pass on this and the rest of the new Zavvi marvel wave.

I have the previous Zavvi thor which I like, but I do like the Art on this, to buy or not to buy? Does anyone know what the 3d is like in this film?

Zavvi, releasing to many steelbook, in a short amount of time. There is no way they are going to sell all these before xmas. They are going to have to drop the prices, in the next month or so they are going to be sitting on a mountain of steelbooks.

this marvel wave from zavvi is really poor.

it could have been amazing. im interested in a few of the titles since i missed out first time around, but all these artworks are drab and cheap looking.

i wont buy. they are all blatantly just a way for zavvi to cash in on fans in the run up to christmas.

Zavvi are really doing these marvel steels to death now, how many times do we really need the same release.

I get what you're saying, but how many re-releases do we need of anything?

From the early days of VHS, especially in the UK, we've seen the same old movies re-packaged time and time again. Do you remember a company called CIC Video? Every time they changed their video covers, you'd get their best-selling movies redone. Beverly Hills Cop with blue stripes on the spine, large picture on the spine, small picture on the spine, Paramount logo on the spine... Same for Airplane!, Psycho, Airport, 48HRS and so on and so forth. Don't even get me started on Star Wars home video releases.

The same could be said for DVD (Army of Darkness anyone? Halloween? Alexander?), Blu-ray is no different, and Marvel titles are a cash-cow for Disney and any retailer that gets an exclusive, be it Nova, FutureShop, Best Buy or indeed, Zavvi. If you or I ran any of these companies you'd want as much of that Marvel action you could get.

Many steelbook collectors feel they 'have to catch 'em all' so feel like they're being 'robbed' by getting the same old titles again and again. I can't say I like the look of any of these recent Marvel Zavvi announcements, and I'm not interested in owning more than 1 copy of any steelbook. I'd rather Disney got it right first time rather than giving us title-less spines in the UK (Thor: TDW, CA: TWS, GotG, Ant-Man (I don't mind the Avengers movies so much)) with great front artwork than do these matching, but otherwise poor cash-ins.

Thor looks to be the best of a bad bunch, and for those who don't currently own a Thor steelbook it's an okay alternative, but IM2, GotG and CA:TWS look especially poor.
