Why did you cancel ? I would have taken your HMV Steel ;):p:LOL::LOL::whistle:

The front is great on the new steel but the back is poop. The hmv imo is still the best :) im only going to double dip on guardians, iron man 3 (for front art) Thor 2, cap 2 for the spine titles lol

You just made a terrible Mistake cancelling this awesome Steel, you´ll regret it some Day;)
no, just joking,Buddy- keep the HMV Version,it´s still the best to own:thumbs:

Some off topic posts were moved here. Other posts discussing the retailer should be made here - as if you didn't know already ;)

Let's stop the bickering please. Thanks.

This will come back on sale but on amazon or ebay (zavvi outlet crap) and it will be more expensive and with postage cost.

Anyone else noticed that steelbooks are becoming more and more expensive? Even standard releases like this one. Nothing premium about it from my POV.

Did some math and you're not going to like it :D

Steelbook case (with art) - US $ 2.50 (at best $ 3.00)
2D disc - US $ 1.00
3D disc - US $ 1.50
DVD disc (if in package) - worthless - maybe US $ 0.25
Digital code - US $ 0.10

We are all overpaying for steelbooks and yet we still do it out of urge or some other stupid reason.
I guess we're the monkeys in this game and retailers have all the bananas :hilarious:

And when they say JUMP, we say HOW HIGH?

I asked Zavvi Zbox Curator
Was the the print run of the marvel steelbooks 2,000 or 4,000 each

I got the following reply
4,000

Cancelled this today. Not going to bother with the rest either.

€180+ on 6 steelbooks is ludicrous when I step back and think of the bigger picture......

Don't think these are really 'sold out' either. Especially now we have an idea of the print run. Probably be half price in January sales knowing Zavvi!!!

After the disappointing pictures of the Iron Man an Captain America Steelbook. I decided also to cancel my order for this Steelbook. Maybe a fault. But too much money for this, plus 100 % that i have to pay taxes to get this Steelbook.

Completely agree with you, I cancelled earlier today, based on the inhand photos of the other marvel lenti's in this wave, I'd go to £15.99 each max, and I'd be happy with the quality for that price but for £25 each NO.

If they had even one braincell they would have made this wave full gloss with a good finish instead of matte with a poor lenti. If they had done that these would sell out fast. As is yet again they have cut corners and will have to flog these come Jan at half price. This really does look RUBBISH! Especially considering the Blufans can if your patient be picked up for little over GB cost and is superior to this junk.

So the Zbox curator on Twitter has confirmed these were design choices to do them as matte and not gloss as it "compliments them" lol and that a magnet would not work on gloss (which is ridiculous).

Also states that gloss is a next to nothing cost lol

So these will all be matte I'm afraid

Yeah i saw that also.
He's full of doodie. To sum up some of his bull
* Disney care about design (lol?)
* This Marvel wave is widely concidered to be very good (lol?)
* Gloss costs next to nothing (it doesnt?)

Clearly he is pretty clueless and its obvious where he works :p

I know, that really annoyed me reading all that. At least Disney got it right in the end with the animated collection after a few waves but still they could of all been gloss. I couldn't stop laughing at the "this wave is widely considered to be very good" lol

I also believe it's a way to cut corners with no gloss as mentioned on the Twitter feed
